Firstly welcome to RideSafe.im, a family run business established between Matt and his wife Lissa, along with their two motorcycle mad daughters.
RideSafe.im is the leading motorcycle training school on the island for all your tuition needs. Our services are tailored to you, from a complete novice on a ‘Try-a-Ride’ session to techniques of advanced riding and skills refreshers. It’s never too late to better your ability.
Born and raised on the Island, our lead instructor Matt has a wealth of experience on both two wheels and four. Starting from a young age on a 50cc motocross bike to becoming being a Police advanced response driver and motorcyclist having also completed numerous off island courses within the UK. Matt had policed the islands road network and motorsport events for the last decade (mostly on two wheels) only recently leaving to advance RideSafe.im full time. Matt certainly knows his way around the Manx roads and his relaxed, calming and professional instruction style will guide you on to achieve your goals.
A word from instructor Matt...
"As a former Forensic Collision Investigator within the Isle of Man Constabulary I often had to deal with the worst possible outcome for what can happen when it goes wrong riding a motorcycle. If I can pass on my knowledge and experience to a new generation of motorcyclists and those wishing for extra support, I hope to make our roads a safer place for everyone.”

Took my CBT with Matt this month and he’s a brilliant instructor. I wasn’t feeling too confident going into it as the weather wasn’t great, but from the get-go Matt made me feel at ease by being incredibly supportive, encouraging and providing clear instructions. I can’t wait to start doing some more lessons with Matt as I try to get my full licence.

Awesome, everything went just spot on. I got my CBT with Matt and he is an awesome person and an awesome instructor. If you want to get on a bike and go through a CBT or you want full bike licence, I recommend Matt and RideSafe.im definitely!!!

Cannot recommend Matty highly enough. Had a literal wobble two days before my test. Matt was calm and encouraging, his words of advice got me through the dreaded U-turn on test day. He is patient and knowledgeable.

Matty @ Rideafe.im has been brilliant. Couldn’t have done it without him. He is experienced and knowledgeable and most of all calm and very good at teaching at your ability/method of learning. Which is what I needed especially on some of the manoeuvres. I thoroughly recommend RideSafe.im if you’re thinking of learning to ride and the blue light card discount is just an added bonus!

Having spent 20 plus years thinking about it, I finally decided to do a ‘try a ride’. I had zero experience, never even been a passenger on a bike before. I was incredibly nervous and Matt made me feel at ease straight away. The experience was amazing. I felt so stupid but Matt was full of reassurance and it has helped immensely with my confidence.
